APRICOT KERNEL

Apricot kernel oil is obtained from the seeds of apricots and these seeds contain quite a bit of oil. It is very possible that this seed has been used to extract oil since ancient times. Apricot kernel oil has been mentioned in Traditional Chinese medicine where it is used for treating tumors and ulcers. Good for all skin types and especially nice for dry or inflamed skin due to its antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Mature skin is given a lift with this light and easily absorbed oil.

Borage is a wildflower that is found in almost all parts of the world. The oil found in the seeds in valuable; it's the richest known source (24%) of the essential fatty acid, gamma Linolenic Acid (GMA). The emu bird is found in Australia and was first cultivated by the aborigines. The aborigines of Australia are considered one of the oldest people on earth. Cave drawings and oral history of the aboriginals date back the first uses of emu oil to over 4,000 years ago, where they first used it for cuts and wounds. Due to research, emu oil is recommended by doctors for burns, radiation treatment and even sunburns. ORGANIC GRAPESEED OIL

While it may seem counter-intuitive to use an oil to treat oily skin, that is exactly what Grapeseed oil is used for. Oily skin is a reaction of skin that is to dry. Jojoba Oil is a liquid wax extracted from the nut of an indigenous American shrub that goes by the scientific name Simmondsia chinensis. This shrubby tree still grows wild in the United States, mainly in the arid regions of the Southwestern states. Citrus essential oils have many beneficial health and skin benefits but have to be used in moderation and not in direct sunlight as the photo-toxicity can make skin sensitive to the sun. One of the most known benefits of Clary Sage is its hormone-regulating properties. HELICHRYSUM (Helichrysum Italicum)

With over 600 species of Helichrysum, this European herb is native to the Mediterranean area and Asia and is harvested mostly in Italy, France, Spain and the Balkans.   Helichrysum is very expensive and scarcely available, which is probably why it's not one of the more common essential oils but is one of the most effective oils available to make scar marks disappear fast. Helichrysum also heals cuts and wounds quickly and is equally effective in clearing up spots left on the skin by chicken pox, boils, acne and other skin irregularities.
